Nanotechnologies are two types: 1) Top-Down: From top (larger) to bottom (smaller), measured by nanometric scale. This is the most frequent application of nanotechnology upto this point, in particular in the domain of electonics where miniaturization is preponderant.
2) Bottom- Up : From bottom ( smaller) to top (larger), begin with a molecule (nanometric structure) through a process of assembly or self-assembly we create a mechanism larger than that with which we began. This appproach is considered as the 'true' nanotechnology, which allow an extremly precise control of matter.
